Vegan takes UK title – and breaks a record
Vegan potter Neil Robertson took his third UK Championship on Sunday night in one of the most tense finals seen in the competition.
The Australian fought through to his third tournament final of the season to take his first win, dazzling opponents with some fantastic break building.
He also set a record for the most century breaks compiled in the 44 year history of the event, with 13.
Neil turned vegan in late 2014, initially motivated by health and benefits for his snooker.
“I felt I needed to eat healthier to give myself the chance to get the most out of my career” he told Great Vegan Athletes.
The win also moved Neil up the world rankings to #2.
